]]> This is an original antique framed illustration of moths. The etchings have been hand coloured and depict each stage of pupation. The beautiful illustrations of the flora and fauna have been hand coloured in watercolour and have retained their rich pigments.
This stunning piece comes in its original ebonised carved frame with glass and mount with gilt detailing. Research could be done to find which book this entomological plate comes from but it looks wonderful in this unique frame.

As with anything vintage, this piece may have a few bumps and scrapes but it all adds to the character. Colours cannot be perfectly depicted over screens. There are some areas of age and the beautiful frame has a few scrapes so please consider this before purchasing. We can send more pictures if you require them.

]]> A wonderful depiction of a young blonde boy. This vintage watercolour of a boy on board has a beautiful feel and we loved the delicate impressionist palette and style.

This unique portrait is unsigned on the front but to the back it is signed by Robert Forrester of a young boy called Andrew Caldbeck.

Forrester’s (1913-1988) worked primarily in Oils and Watercolours. He is known for wonderful depictions of Cumbrian landscapes and much of his work can be found in The Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery.
