Vintage Oil on Board Still Life
A wonderful still life of Lilies. This vintage oil on board still life has a beautiful feel and we loved the delicate style and composition. The bold orange stamen and blue ceramic vase add a little drama to the earthy palette of plaster pinks, forest greens and off whites.
This unique oil on board is signed ‘J.M.W’ on the front and on the back it is suggested that the painting is by a Mrs J. M. Walker. The painting comes with its wonderful wooden green lacquer frame. This is a beautiful forest green colour that brings out the grain of the wood and has a glossy sheen.
As with anything vintage, this piece may have a few bumps and scrapes but it all adds to the character. Colours cannot be perfectly depicted over screens. There are some small areas of damage to this painting which don’t take away form its beauty but please consider this before purchasing. The frame has a couple of small scrapes too. We can send more pictures if you require them.
